Social Media Campaigns—The New Face of Marketing

"Do You Wonder?"

Texas A&M University needed a way to help prospective students experience what life as an Aggie would be like, and in turn, increase enrollment and awareness. Tapping into the social Web, Texas A&M launched a microsite that pulls existing YouTube content created by former and current students via RSS feed or direct uploads The site, along with a new Facebook page, is part of a marketing campaign called "Do You Wonder?" This presentation will provide an overview of this social media campaign as well as advice to other schools interested in using this marketing approach.
